A little bit about this business: McStuff Highland Supplies, began as McStuff Highland Crafts when Jan Mattock and Hilma Marten made a lot of crafts and presented them to the Highland Games public . For 15 years they traveled the games circuit and made a lot of good friends as well as a little money. It was a fulfilling and time consuming job for two ladies in their 60s. In about 2003, Hilma decided to retire and is now living with her son in Westbank. Jan, however, took control of the business and changed it to a Highland Supply business where she dealt with mostly pipe bands and the public. After 23 years Jan has decided to retire from the business. From all of us that have supported McStuff Highland Supplies we wish them both good health and happy retirement. I look forward to seeing them at many Scottish Events

"NEW - 2007"
I have been lucky enough to experience both piping drumming and highland dancing - in fact bagpipes have become a way of life for our family. I started out as a Piper with the McIntosh Girls Pipe Band, later joining Shuswap Pipes & Drums, under the direction of Hilma Martens. At present our household consists of Pipers, Drummers and Highland Dancers. There isn't much time to talk or do anything else as with Highland Dance and being a member of the Kalamalka Highlanders Pipe Band our days are filled. I can remember when Hilma and Jan first came up with the idea for McStuff Crafts and the business has grown out of a love for the music and culture of Scotland. A new feature on this site will be the on-line store, which we hope, makes it easier to serve our customers. I will continue to do business with many different segments of the communities, and will keep in touch with Pipe Bands in the Okanagan from time to time. As it is difficult to get to all band practices I will from time to time send out an update catalogue by either e-mail or snail mail when possible. . As the new proprietor I feel honored that I have been allowed to keep their dream alive. These will be very large "Ghillies" to fill ... I will strive to carry on their love and dedication to the customers.
